Kestutis Kasparavicius

This is a tribute to a Lithuanian illustrator Kestutis Kasparavicius. I want to share some pictures of his old and new books that I have. His books are translated into 22 languages, so you may even find them in your local bookstore. His illustrations are real visual treats.
New Year (1987)

I remember reading this as a kid and marveling at the surreal illustrations: a giant snowman, a moose with paint brushes in its antlers, Santa Claus riding a bear... It left a long lasting impression. I discovered this book again just recently and it was amazing to see these illustrations once again and to compare them with my own memories of this book.

Avid Dog (1989)

The Missing Picture (2007)

Silly Stories (2005)
